Food Sovereignty Ghana Joins Protest Against Introduction Of GMOs Produced By American Company MONSANTO

Food Sovereignty Ghana in collaboration with the Rastafarian Council of Ghana and several other organisations have embarked on a march in protest against Monsanto in solidarity with over 400 cities all over the globe. 

The march is to fight against Genetically Modified Organism, GMO, produced by Monsanto, an American Agriculture Company and to raise awareness that Ghana does not need GMO. 

Rather, it needs investments such as good roads from the farm gate to the market or warehouse to store. 

Communications Director of Food Sovereignty Ghana, Edwin Kweku Andoh, told GBC’s Radio Ghana that GMO is not the future of the country and urged Ghanaians to concentrate on organic and agri ecological way of food production to make the earth sustainable.
