Supreme court stops Zanetor's case at High Court The Supreme Court (SC) has by a majority decision, halted the High Court proceedings of the case between the Member of Parliament (MP) for Klottey- Korle Nii Armah Ashitey and the NDC Parliamentary Candidate-elect Dr Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings. The Court gave the order pending its interpretation of Article 94 clause One A of the Constitution which has been in contention. The trial High Court Judge, Justice Kwaku Ackah Boafo interpreted that Article in his ruling on an application filed by Dr Zanetor Rawlings to throw out a suit challenging her candidature as an aspirant for Klottey Korle. However, counsel for Dr Zanetor Rawlings, Godwin Tamakloe said the Judge wrongly assumed jurisdiction over an issue of Constitutional interpretation and subsequently dismissed the application. He therefore applied to the Supreme Court to quash the ruling on the basis of error on the part of the trial judge. GBC
