Tema MDU calls for consortium to manage PSC Tema Shipyard

The Tema District Council of the Maritime and Dock workers Union, MDU, wants the government to put together a consortium of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, GPHA, Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, GNPC and SSNIT to manage PSC Tema Shipyard.  

According to the Union, the three bodies have among others the financial capability to raise the needed capital to turn the PSC Tema Shipyard into a profitable state entity. 

In an interview with Radio Ghana, the  Chairman of the Tema District Council of MDU, Felix Nii Anang-La, believes a combination of the expertise and capital strength of GPHA, GNPC and SSNIT will be able to revamp PSC Tema Shipyard.
