THE GHANAIAN TIMES: urges Ghanaians to be civil in their political discourse.  The paper commends the ranking of the country as the fifth democracy in Africa by the Democracy Index saying it behoves each and everyone to engage in healthy discourse that would not endanger the democratic credentials of the country.  The Times is of the opinion that through free speech, one can convey the thoughts, sentiments and feelings to others in a  manner that must not generate what it has generated so far.  The paper believes people can be civil , control and regulate their desires in a manner that would ensure order in society.

THE DAILY HERITAGE:  charges the public to keep water bodies clean.  The paper recounts when the nation`s sources of water for treatment and distribution to consumers by the then Ghana Water and Sewerage Corporation were relatively less polluted.  It says years down the line, urbanisation, weak supervision and sheer recklessness have created a despicable situation for the nation. The paper cites a research conducted by CSIR which established that Ghana`s water treatment systems are incapable of removing algae toxins.  It challenges the Ghana Water Company Limited not to fight the report but take it in good faith and finetune its treatment standards.
