ECG needs $4b to bridge power distribution deficit - Energy Expert Government will in the next 10 years need four billion dollars to invest in the operations of the Electricity Company of Ghana. The amount is to make up for power distribution deficits. The Head of Policy Unit at the African Centre for Energy Policy, ACEP, Dr. Ishmael Ackah who made this known at a public forum in Kumasi said although electricity production is expensive across the globe,a number of operational inefficiencies become a drawback to the performance of the Company. Some of these result in distribution losses as well as government’s interference and indebtedness to the ECG. GBC
