Network of Women Entrepreneurs donate to Accra Psychiatric Hospital

The Network of Women Entrepreneurs, NETWET has donated consumables worth two thousand Ghana Cedis to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital. 

The Association which comprise of female Artisans said the initiative is part of its social responsibility. 

Donating the items on behalf of the association, the coordinator of the Group, Gifty Ampomah-Darko charged the public not to look down on mentally challenged people. 

According to her, they are just like any normal person and deserve love and respect of society. 

Mrs Ampomah-Darko also urged the authorities at the hospital to approach their duty with all seriousness and commitment.

She said there will be difficult times but encouraged them to always remember their oath of service and call to serve mother Ghana. 

Receiving the items on behalf of the Hospital, the Deputy Director of the Nursing Services at the Hospital, Emmanuel Pappoe thanked the Group for the gesture. 

He however called on other stakeholders to emulate the good work of the group. 

Mr Pappoe said the hospital is undergoing a lot of difficulties and the government alone can not do everything. 

He made a passionate appeal to the public to come to the aid of the hospital.
