Ghanaians urged to help stock blood bank

Statistics indicate that more lives will be saved if one percent of Ghanaians donate blood voluntarily. 

Current estimates from the National Blood Service on annual blood stocks show a shortfall.

This is attributed to the negative attitude of some Ghanaians towards voluntary blood donation. 

A blood donor recruitment officer of the Service, Mark Tetteh disclosed this at a blood donation and free health screening exercise to mark the 12th anniversary of the Lapaz Community Hospital in Accra.
