Government honours promise to reward taxi driver who foiled armed robbery attempt Government has honoured its promise to the taxi driver who knocked down two armed robbers by giving him a fully furnished two bedroom house at the cost of 134,000 Ghana cedis located at Borteyman in Accra. The taxi driver was rewarded due to his bravery when he prevented what would have been a day light robbery of a salesgirl of the Koala shopping centre whom the robbers suspected was going to the bank to deposit the day's sales. The management of Koala Supermarket and the police have each already presented a new car to the hero taxi driver. The Minister of Water Resources, Works and Housing, Kwaku Agyemang Mensah who presented the keys to the house said fighting crime is a shared responsibility and called on all Ghanaians to help combat crime in the country. The taxi driver thanked the President and the people of Ghana for the honour done him. GBC
