Encourage Inmates in correctional centres - Rev Felix Dodo

The Presiding Elder of the Accra Central District of the A.M.E Zion Church, Rev. Felix Dodo says inmates in correctional Centres should be encouraged to come out well reformed and as better citizens who are ready to help build the country. 

He said for the inmates to be integrated into society and contribute meaningfully to national progress, Ghanaians should support their educational and other training programs at the correctional centres.  

Rev Dodor said this when members of the Young Adult Missionary Society donated a number of items to the inmates of the Senior Correctional Centre at Roman Ridge in Accra. 

The items included stationary, toiletries and disinfectants. 

Rev Dodor said it is the hope of church that inmates in correctional centres will be productive when they are discharged.

The Accra Central District President of the Young Adult Missionary Society of the A.M.E Zion Church, Mrs Ophelia Zungbey said the issue of broken homes and peer pressure should be given serious attention, as they contribute to juvenile delinquency. 

Mrs Zumgbey said the motto of the Senior Correctional Centre" We Shall Rise Again", is enough motivation for the inmates to look into the future with hope. 

The donation from the Young Adult Missionary Society was received by ASP Eunice Atiogbe. 

She appealed for more support from the public.
