AMA commences dredging of Korle Lagoon and Odaw stream The Chief Executive of AMA, Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije says the Assembly has started dredging the Korle Lagoon and the Odaw stream as well as desilting gutters throughout the city to prevent and further reduce the outbreak of cholera. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Dr. Vanderpuije said the Assembly has also started feasibility studies on plans to cover open drains to prevent flooding during the major rainy season. Dr. Vanderpujie also called for public co-operation in waste management and the use of places of convenience being constructed at strategic places in the city. GBC
