Sakodie addresses students of prestigious Harvard University in US A Ghanaian hip hop and hiplife artist Michael Owusu Addo, known by his stage name as Sarkodie on Saturday had the opportunity of addressing students of the highly respected university in the US, Harvard, on his career. Sakodie who is also a rapper spoke to the students about his challenges as an African musician and how he is surmounting them. He was invited to the prestigious university as one of the most successful African musicians. Sarkodie has won several awards including the BET and the Ghana Music Awards on numerous occasions. He won the Best International Act: Africa category at the 2012 BET Awards, and was nominated in the same category at the 2014 BET Awards. In 2015, Sarkodie was ranked the 19th most Influential Ghanaian by e-TV Ghana. He is considered one of the major proponents of the Azonto genre and dance. SOURCE: Starr FM
