US embassy to support Prison service expand industry initiatives

The US Embassy says it will support the Prison Service in capacity building, classification of prisoners and the provision of equipment to detect contraband goods that are usually smuggled into the prison. 

The Chairman of the Prisons Service Council, Rev. Dr. Stephen Wengam who disclosed this to Radio Ghana said the Embassy has also agreed to support industry initiatives in the prisons.
