The Daily Graphic says it is time to take the bull by the horn by adopting a multi-prong approach to solving the country's sanitation problem. To the Paper, there is excuse for national sanitation day to fail.  To the Graphic the poor sanitation credentials are high because the laws on environment cleanliness are lax and so people throw refuse and other waste materials about without any hindrance. 

The Ghanaian Times pays glowing tribute to the Public Affairs Manager of Anglo-Gold Ashanti who met his tragic death over the weekend. According to information gathered by the Times, the late John Owusu was in the Company of other officials of the company to arrest illegal miners but the 'galamseyers' chased the security men including workers of Anglogold and in a bid to escape, a vehicle of the company ran over him. The Paper says it is heartbroken over the unfortunate incident that has claimed the life of such a dedicated person who devoted himself to fighting the galamsey menace in an around Obuasi for many years. 

The Daily Heritage says the prediction by pollster Ben Ephson that the CPP could push the 2016 elections into a second round if it works hard is scaring detractors of the party even the more, paving the way for unfounded attacks on Mr Ephson with a view to down play the threat CPP posed to both the NDC and NPP. The Paper is of the opinion that the unwarranted attacks from some sympathisers of the NDC and NPP are clear indications that the CPP remains a force to reckon with in the upcoming November 7, elections.
