Akufo-Addo launches book on Dr. J.B. Danquah

The flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo Addo, says the contribution of Dr. J.B Danquah to the country's Political, Economic and Social Development is legendary. 

He said Dr. Danquah one of the big six who fought for Ghana's political emancipation was instrumental in ensuring social justice, equality of the human race and freedom for all. 

Nana Akufo Addo espoused these virtues when he launched a 72-page book titled what 'Every child in Ghana should know about Dr. J.B Danquah'.  

The NPP flagbearer who bought one thousand copies of the book described it as a well-researched and extensive work that touches almost every aspect of the late Dr. J.B. Danquah's work.

A Lecturer at the Department of Political Science of the University of Ghana, Prof Ansah Koi who reviewed the book bemoaned the politics of lies, falsehood, and vilification that have characterised the country's political landscape since independence. 

This he attributed to mass ignorance and illiteracy. 

He has therefore urged the youth to educate themselves through reading. 

The Author of the book, Abena Ansah Adjei said she was inspired by the prolific writings and political activities of J.B. Danquah to write the book.
