Former Chief Executive of NIA calls for transparency in operations

A former Chief Executive of the National Identification Authority, NIA, Prof Ernest Dumor, says every Ghanaian has the right to demand transparency and accountability in the operations of the Authority. 

He said Ghanaians must demand what has accounted for the poor state of operations at the NIA which has contributed to the current challenge the Electoral Commission is facing with identification and registration of eligible Ghanaians. 

Speaking at a round table on National Identification, Prof Dumor said as Chief Executive of the Authority, he laid a solid foundation for its operations but the same cannot be said of the Authority today.
