Accra High Court adjourns to February 22, suit against Dr. Zanetor Rawlings An Accra High Court has fixed February 22, 2016 to rule on a suit challenging the eligibility of the NDC Parliamentary aspirant for Klottey Korle, Dr. Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings. The suit brought by the MP for the area, Nii Armah Ashietey and one Nii John Coleman is praying the Court to annul the candidature of Dr. Zanetor Rawlings. They claim that she is not a registered voter and cannot contest for a parliamentary seat under the constitution. Counsel for the defendant Godwin Tamakloe in his submission said his client is a law abiding member of the NDC and has no interest in violating the party's laws. He said Dr. Zanetor Rawlings followed due process in described the plaintiffs action as premature in view of the fact that they have not exhausted the party's internal structures in resolving the issues. He therefore prayed that the court to dismiss the case. Lawyer for the plaintiffs Gary Nimako said Dr. Zanetor Rawlings knew very well that she was not qualified as a registered voter. He prayed the Court to grant the reliefs being sought by the plaintiffs Nii Ashietey and Coleman lost their parliamentary primary in November last year, which was won by Dr. Zanetor Rawlings. GBC
