Police, Political Parties Deliberate On Ensuring Peaceful Election The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has been meeting with the political parties to formulate strategies to ensure peace before and during this year's election. Speaking to GBC’s Radio Ghana, the Greater Accra Regional Police Commander COP. Dr. Dampare said the service has already met with the two major political parties, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP), COP. Dr. Dampare said no police officer or commander can help any political party win elections. He maintained that no police officer has the interest to assist the ruling party to witch hunt any opposition party. COP Dampare said the police will be meeting with the 17 other political parties from next week. On work of Civil Society Groups with interest in political activities, he said the Command has also met with them to assist the Police to be effective in its operations. GBC
