Parliament resumes Tomorrow after festive season The 4th Meeting of the 3rd session of the 6th Parliament of the 4th Republic opens on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. The House reconvenes after the Christmas Holidays to undertake public business. During the meeting, a number of activities are scheduled to take place. Twenty six Bills are at table for presentation, fifteen Bills at Committee are still being worked on, Nine Bills are at the Consideration stage. Some of the bills are: the Right to information Bill, 2013, Plant Breeders Bill, Whistleblower (Amendment) Bill 2015, Presidential Transition (Amendment) Bill, 2016 and Electronic Communication Bill. There are twenty three other instruments to be presented at the meeting, three instruments at the Committee Level while forty one Papers will be presented. Eight Motions have been tabled for Debate and ninety five other referrals of Bills at the Committee. During the meeting, the State of the Nation Address will also be delivered by President Mahama.
