The Ghanaian Times is disturbed that since 2001, when Ya Naa Yakubu Andani was killed along with some elders of his court, the country has been unable to find a solution to the feud. The Paper is aware of the work done by the Chiefs in resolving that conflict, but the recent war of words suggest that there is a lot more to be done. It says it has come to its notice that the Regional Security council has stepped up security in Yendi to avert clashes. The Times urges government and the eminent Chiefs to diffuse the tension that has become a time bomb waiting to explode. 

The Daily Graphic praises government for making the health of its people one of its top priorities. The Paper believes a lot more needs to be done to reduce the country’s disease burden adding that more focus be placed on preventive measures than curative in ensuring good health for the people. The Graphic believes that in order to stop this regular feature, the health authorities need to address measures proactively by stepping in to immunise people living in areas that have been affected by diseases. It entreats family members of affected people to report the cases to health centres nearby to help doctors to effectively and efficiently handle the situation.
