Ghana and Denmark sign agreement to train and recruit seafarers The Maritime Authorities of Ghana and Denmark have signed a bilateral maritime agreement to train and recruit Ghana's seafarers to serve on Denmark's over two thousand deep sea ships. The agreement will also develop programmes and strategies for the improvement of the work of the Ghanaian seafarer. Briefing the media in Accra, the Director- General of the Ghana Maritime Authority, Rev Dr. Peter Issaka Azumah said Ghana is targeting one million seafarers under the agreement adding that apart from job creation, the agreement will also widen and improve on the country's maritime status on the foreign front.
