Urban Roads and NRSC to ensure pedestrians use foot bridges on highways


The Head of Engineering, Road Safety Section at the Department of Urban Roads, Patricia Onny says the department in conjunction with the National Road Safety Commission is going to enforce the law to ensure that pedestrians use foot bridges constructed on the major highways in the Accra metropolis.

This follows reports that most pedestrians especially at the Mallam junction are not using the foot bridges but rather prefer to cross the road. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Madam Onny said it is in the interest of pedestrians that they use the footbridges.
