The Ghanaian Times says there is the need for Ghanaians to agree to the increase in taxes and utility tariffs to meet market demands. The Paper however sympathises with workers and calls on government to dialogue with them to find an amicable solution to the impasse. It commends government for stretching a hand to organised Labour to accept the Olive branch to negotiate amicably. The Paper urges workers to return to the negotiating table and resolve all labour issues to ensure industrial harmony. 

The Daily Graphic calls on the security forces to be proactive in providing peace and stability to the nation. According to the Paper, Ghana is recognised by the international community for its excellence in peace-keeping missions across the world. Though the Paper commends the vigilance of the security forces it also expects that their alertness will not be a nine day wonder. The Graphic calls on the people to be their own security by being watchful wherever they go. The Paper prevails on government to invest in acquiring sophisticated security gadgets for the forces to be able to discharge their duties well.
