Mfantsipim Headmaster Asked To Step Aside For Charging Unapproved Fees The Headmaster of Mfantsipim Senior High School in Cape Coast, John Kwabena Ankomah -Simpson has been asked to step aside for charging unapproved fees. According to the Central Regional Directorate of the Ghana Education Service, a parent reported the headmaster to the GES Head office in Accra and investigation was opened into the matter leading to the headmaster being asked to step aside. In a related development, the Director of Public Affairs at the Ghana Education Service, Rev. Jonathan Bettey has cautioned Heads of both First and Second Cycle Institutions not to charge any unauthorised fees. He said any Head who collects money outside the GES standardised fees will be sanctioned. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Rev. Bettey said education must not be made expensive for only those who can afford.
