Aggrieved customers of DKM Micro-Finance to demonstrate next week

Aggrieved customers of DKM Financial Services and other Financial Services in the Brong Ahafo Region have written to the Regional Police Command to go on a demonstration to express their grievances and pressurize government and Bank of Ghana to have their money refunded to them.  

Last week, the Bank of Ghana, revoked the  Licenses of some 70 Microfinance and money lending Companies. 

Depositors, most of who are in Brong Ahafo have staged demonstrations over the action by the Bank of Ghana and the inability of the companies to pay back the money they invested.  

According to the Brong Ahafo Regional Police PRO, ASP Christopher Tawiah, the aggrieved depositors have requested to go on the demonstration on the 18th which is a week from today.  

He said  their letter will be forwarded to the appropriate authorities for approval.
