Economic growth to accelerate in Africa but challenges remain Economic growth in Africa is expected to accelerate to 4.2 per cent in 2016 following a disappointing performance last year. Overall global growth is forecast at just under 3 per cent. The projections come in the World Bank's Global Economic Prospects report published this month.
