Legendary boxing trainer Godwin Nii Dzanie "Alloway" Kotey reported dead News reaching GBC 24 Sports desk has it that the President of the United Coaches Association of Ghana, Godwin Nii Dzanie Kotey popularly called coach Alloway has passed on. The respected Ghanaian boxing trainer previously handled Azumah Nelson, Joshua Clottey and Joseph Agbeko. Coach Alloway, 56, had a wealth of experience in the game with almost four decades of industriousness in the sport. GBC 24 learnt that his recent ill health was the reason he was unable to man Joshua Clottey's corner in the ex-world champions recent loss in the US. The deceased Coach Alloway was also the Head Trainer for the Attoh Quarshie Gym in Accra where he trained many boxers including highly-rated lightweight George 'Red Tiger' Ashie. Reports say he passed on at his residence near the Atta-Mills High Street in Accra at about 5:00pm on Saturday. GBC
