The Daily Graphic believes the best Christmas present government could give the people of Ghana would be a definite solution to the irritating power cuts popularly referred to as "dumsor". The Paper acknowledges that it will not take just a day to have the power situation completely solved, but urges government to be forthright in its assurances to Ghanaians and make sure all the challenges that militate against the fulfillment of such promises are tackled head-on. The Graphic therefore stresses the need to stop at nothing to have the power problem solved within the next two months as promised by government and hopes it will not be yet another failed promise. 

The Ghanaian Times is grateful to Allah for the safe arrival of pilgrims from Mecca. It empathises with them for the difficult challenges and tragic encounter they experienced during the about one month spiritual exercise in the Holy land. It is the paper's conviction that Allah has accepted the sacrifices of the pilgrims and endowed them with all blessings to continue to worship him in true faith and humility. The Times hopes the pilgrims came back with renewed faith and strength to continue to pursue their endeavours to help in national development. 

The Daily Heritage expresses worry about dangers associated with exposing the rot in society. Making reference to a member of the Tiger Eye PI team Ishmael Hussein who was kidnapped over the weekend and assaulted for his role in the Anas' expose, the Paper urges journalists to take extreme precaution when exposing corruption. This the paper stresses include a perfect back-up arrangement, a well-defined plan and measures to handle the after effects of the expose.
