Importers and Exporters kick against upcoming forum on  International Carriage of Goods Convention 

The Executive Secretary of the Importers and Exporters Association, Sampson Asaki Awingobite, has kicked against an upcoming forum on the United Convention Contract for the international carriage of goods wholly or partly by sea, based on the Rotterdam Rules.

The forum is to be organized by the Ghana Shippers Authority, GSA, on the 26th of this month. 

According to him, the forum is needless and a waste of revenue by the Authority.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr. Awingobite claimed that the GSA has been duplicating duties of the Ghana Maritime Authority for its parochial interest.
