Akan Drama, ‘Obra’ back on Television

The Famous Akan Drama, ‘Obra’ will be back on Ghana Television soon.

The exciting family TV series, famous in the 90s featured veteran stars like, Grace Omaboe aka Maame Dokuno, David Dontoh (Ghanaman), Adjoa Smart, Charles Ampofo, Waatse, the late Richard Kwame Agyeman aka Odompo and Nana Yaa.

Maame Dokono who revealed this on the Starr Drive with Bola Ray and Anita Erskine said the show which is currently being shot is more improved and well packaged.

“Yes ‘Obra’ is coming back. It’s being filmed and it will come back to your screens,” she said enthusiastically.

She confirmed both she and David Dontoh will be back as casts of the show.

She was however economical with the rest of the details, asking Ghanaians to keep their fingers crossed for surprises.

‘Obra’ aired on Ghana Television in the 90’s and mid 2000’s.

Nana Ampadu’s Obra song was used as the sound track of the show.
