One Journalist Reported Dead In Accident Involving Presidential Press Corps 

A member of the Presidential Press Corps is reported dead and others seriously injured following an accident near the Shai Hills, on the Afienya near Tema road.  

Reports say the Press Corps was returning to Accra from Ho where President John Mahama attended the Annual Convention of the Evangelical Presbyterian (EP) Church. 

The injured were rushed to the Michel Camp Medical Reception Centre, and other health facilities within the vicinity of the accident, while those in critical condition were airlifted to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. 

Meanwhile, the Tema Regional Police Command has confirmed the death of one journalist who was part of the Presidential Press Corps involved in an accident at the Shai Hills, near Tema. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, the Tema Regional Police MTTD Commander, Chief Supt. Oduro Amaniampong also confirmed that the injured have been sent to different hospitals nearby while those in critical condition have been sent to the 37 Military Hospital.
