British showbiz superstar Cilla Black laid to rest British showbiz celebrity Cilla Black has been laid to rest in her hometown of Liverpool, England. Family and friends bid her farewell at St Mary’s Church where she met her beloved Bobby. Stars including comedian Paul O’Grady and singer Tom Jones were among those at the funeral. Black grew up in Liverpool and found fame on stage after singing in clubs including the famous Cavern in the early 1960s. She went on to become a TV favourite, hosting the hit Saturday night shows Blind Date and Surprise Surprise from the mid-1980s to early 2000s. Black died on August 2 aged 72.
