GRA hits target in Upper East Region The Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, GRA, says revenue collection in the Upper East Region has been encouraging enabling the division to hit its target. The Investigator in charge of the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions, Emmanuel Aphour said his office will continue to follow up and educate the public on the importance of paying tax. Mr Aphour was speaking at the end of a tax education seminar as part of its modernisation drive to make tax payment easy and convenient to the public. He advised individuals, businesses and companies to ensure that they fulfil their tax obligation to avoid sanctions. Participants discussed topics such as the GRA reforms, general import and export, custom sanctions and temporal vehicle importation. The meeting brought together officials of the custom division, representatives of the Ghana Standard's Authority, importers and exporters and heads of departments. GBC
