GWCL announces project to enhance efficient service delivery and revenue generation The Ghana Water Company Limited has come out with a new initiative aimed at enhancing efficient service delivery and revenue generation. The six-month project dubbed “Sustaining High Impact Performance (SHIP),” being supported by the World Bank, begins from August, this year to January, next year. The Eastern Regional Chief Manager, Ebenezer Aryee, who disclosed this to Radio Ghana in Koforidua, said the initiative came into being following the success chalked up in the “Operation 100 Days Assessment” implemented early this year. He explained that the SHIP project which takes off this month is the second initiative of the Company to increase revenue generation in order to expand water supply to target communities in the country. Mr Aryee said the SHIP is a means of revenue drive to enable GWCL earn more revenue to improve the water system in the country. He underscored the importance of water, especially to human beings, and implored customers to settle their bills to enable the company continue rendering quality services to the public. Mr Aryee cautioned against illegal connection and asked the public to go through the right channel to avoid prosecution. GBC
