Stakeholders deliberate on strengthening Affirmative Action Bill Stakeholders have been deliberating on ways to strengthen the draft Affirmative Action as the Attorney General's Department has released the document for amendment and re-submission to cabinet. At a forum in Accra, the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur said the government cannot be blamed for the delay of the bill because successive governments since 1998 did not do enough to bring it into fruition. She added that her Ministry will ensure that the NDC's manifesto which promised forty percent representation of women in decision making positions becomes a reality. GBC
