Nana Akuffo Addo appeals to Government, doctors to resume negotiations The 2016 Flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo Addo, has appealed to both government and striking doctors to return to the negotiating table to bring an end to the strike which is affecting many citizens. A statement signed by the flagbearer, said it is unfortunate that the negotiations have been allowed to degenerate into the lack of confidence and display of bad faith that would lead to a strike. The statement said government and the Ghana Medical Association, GMA, need to sit down until an agreement is reached. The Old Vandals Association has also added its voice to calls on the Ghana Medical Association, GMA to call off its strike and return to the negotiating table. The President of the Association, Isaac Sarpong who made the call in an interview with Radio Ghana said the doctors should consider the plight of patients, the venerable and the destitute and return to the consulting room.
