New gold refinery inaugurated in Accra

A new gold refinery and processing company Sahara Royal Gold has been inaugurated at Agyirigano in Accra. 

As a private company, it has come on board at a time that almost all gold produced in the country are exported without added value. 

The Minister of Land and Natural Resources, Nii Osah Mills, said apart from job creation, the by-product of gold which is silver will also be sold to contribute to the GDP of the country.
