GHS admits effect of strike on healthcare delivery is huge                                

Despite arrangements made by the Ghana Health Service (GHS)  to mitigate the effect of the strike by the Ghana Medical Association, the situation is still dire.  

The Director General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Ebenezer Appiah-Denkyira admitted that lack of private hospitals in some regions is a big challenge.  

He was however hopeful that the issue will be resolved soon to enable people who need medical attention to have access to the services of the GMA especially in emergency cases.
