Contemptuous Comments: Parliament discharges Professor Dodoo Director of the WHO collaborating Centre for Advocacy and Training in Pharmacovigilance, Professor Alex Dodoo, has been discharged by Parliament of the contempt charges leveled against him. Presenting the Committee`s report, the Chairman of the Privileges Committee, Ebo Barton-Oduro said Professor Dodoo had on several occasions proved remorseful for his comments which the committee had established was a contemptuous of the House. Mr. Barton-Oduro said in cases of contempt, the best way out is to apologize at the earliest opportunity to purge ones`s self of the contempt charge. He said the case had brought to the fore the need for Parliament to highlight its sanctions regime. GBC
