Payment of TV licence is a patriotic duty  - Media Expert

A Media Expert, Dr. Messan Mawugbe says the payment of TV licence fee is long over due.

He told Radio Ghana that GBC needs public funding to enable it to improve on its role as a Public Service Broadcaster.

He said those kicking against the payment of the TV licence fee with the excuse that GBC is the mouthpiece of government is out of place.

According to him, GBC needs to broadcast programmes and projects that the government carries out for the public to appreciate.
