S Africa to review ICC membership after Bashir crisis

South Africa's government is to review its membership of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the wake of a dispute over Pretoria's failure to arrest Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

The diplomatic argument erupted on June 15, when Omar al Bashir flew out of South Africa as world powers and activists urged the government to arrest him under a warrant from the global court, on charges of masterminding genocide in Sudan's Darfur region. 

A Cabinet Minister, Jeff Radebe said South Africa will review its participation in the activities of the ICC.
