President Mahama Visits Nsawam Prison 

President John Mahama has visited the Nsawam medium prison to interact with inmates and listen to their concerns. 

President Mahama made the promise to visit the prison last Tuesday when he launched the 'Efiase' project of the Ghana Prisons Service. 

The project is aimed among other things to raise funds to expand and improve conditions at the country's prisons. 

On the occasion of Ghana's 55th Republic day, President Mahama through the Interior Ministry granted amnesty to more than seven hundred remand prisoners.
