People of Great Ningo cry for sea defence wall The Chief and people of the Great Ningo Traditional Area are appealing to the government to urgently construct a sea defence wall to prevent coastal settlements along the Ningo stretch from being submerged. So far hundreds of households have been displaced by the sea. The Paramount Chief of Great Ningo, Nene Addo Huago, said the community has virtually been taken over by the sea, a situation he described as worrisome. Nene Addo Huago made the appeal during a community clean-up exercise, prior to the celebration of the annual Djanŋedom Festival. GBC
