Government committed to reducing streetism in Ghana

Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Nana Oye Lithur says streetism will be brought to the barest minimum to ensure the re-integration of victims into mainstream society. 

In a presentation read on her behalf at the 20th anniversary of Street Girls Aid, an NGO in Accra, Mrs Lithur noted that since girls are the most vulnerable, government has therefore put in place a number of social interventions to empower them.
