Journalists cautioned to be circumspect The need for Journalists to safeguard their social media domains has been emphasised. This is because one can be held liable if another person puts across information on their sites that is later found to be defamatory. Furthermore, Journalists must also cross-check the facts before publishing items picked from social media platforms. General Manager (Newspapers) of the Graphic Communications Group, Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafo who gave the caution said the GJA Code of Ethics is a universally acceptable and functional document that all Journalists must access to enhance credibility. Mr Ayeboafo was speaking on the sidelines of an Ethics and Law Training for Journalists in Accra. GBC
