WAEC rejects Ghana Blind Union BECE rewrite exemption plea 

The West African Examinations Council, WAEC has shot down a suggestion by the Ghana Blind Union for blind students to be exempted from rewriting the BECE papers.

The Deputy Public Affairs Director at WAEC, Mrs. Agnes Teye-Cudjoe, told Radio Ghana that, since the leakage went viral, it will be difficult for WAEC to make room for petitions of exemption.

The Ghana Blind Union and other stakeholders like GNAT, NUGS and NAGRAT have called on WAEC to postpone the examination for students to prepare adequately for the examination. But WAEC says it will not be possible.
