Roads Ministry begins sanctioning contractors who construct poor roads One defect that comes with the rainy season is the issue of bad roads. Some roads become gullies rendering them difficult to ply. The Minister for Roads and Highways, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini who paid a visit to the studios of Radio Ghana, attributed the problem of bad roads to contractors using inferior materials in order to cut cost. He said the ministry has begun dealing with the issue by strengthening supervision and monitoring as well as meting out sanctions to contractors who construct bad roads. Alhaji Inusah Fuseini also disclosed that GH¢ 74 million has been disbursed to settle debts owed contractors. GBC
