Parliament Summons Local Govt Minister Over Sodom And Gomorrah Demolition The Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho has directed the Business Committee of the House to programme the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development to appear before the house to brief them on the demolition exercise at Old Fadama, popularly known as Sodom and Gomorrah. The summons followed a statement by the Chairman of the Committee on Defence and Interior, Fritz Baffour, who raised serious concerns over events during the exercise and street demonstrations which eventually led to an invasion of Parliament House by affected residents. Mr Baffour, who is the Member for Ablekuma South, said as representatives of the people, they needed to be well-informed about events during and after the demolition and the action of the mob before they could comment and take a decision on the issue.
