Energy Minister justifies deregulation of petroleum products

The Minister of Energy, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah has been explaining the rationale behind the deregulation of petroleum products. 

He tells Radio Ghana on the side lines of a signing ceremony in Accra that the National Petroleum Authority is acting per the requirements in the NPA Act. 

He noted that the move by the NPA is to allow competition among the market operators. 

Mr Armah Buah said although the deregulation process has started, there will be the need to go to parliament to amend some laws in that regard.
