Ghana ranked among ten fastest growing economies in the world

Despite the current Economic Challenges, Ghana is ranked among ten fastest growing economies in the world. 

This came up at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Ghana and the U.S in relation to Civil Aviation Safety.

The US intends to undertake activities aimed at improving aviation training capacity in the country.

The Minister of Transport, Dzifa Attivor, who initialed on behalf of government said subject to availability of funds the two countries have agreed among other things to continue the training programme, with the US providing technical assistance to the Ghana Civil Aviation Training Academy.

The U.S Secretary of Transport, Anthony Foxx signed on behalf of his government. Mr. Foxx is leading a 14 member U.S delegation on a multi-sector trade mission to Sub-saharan Africa.

The delegation later toured the site of the new ten million dollar Ghana Aviation Training Academy. The project is expected to be completed in August this year.
