Stalwarts fall in NPP Parliamentary Primaries Incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the Nkawkaw Constituency in the Eastern Region, Eric Kwakye Darfour, has lost his seat to Emmanuel Ampomah in the ongoing primaries. According to provisional results, the incumbent polled 208, while Emmanuel Ampomah won by 303 votes. In the Fomena Constituency, incumbent Kingsley Ata Boafo also lost his seat with 66 votes. He lost to Lawyer Andrews Asiamah who polled 125 votes. 272 out of 278 delegates voted. In the Kwadaso Constituency incumbent Owusu Afriyie Akoto lost to Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah. The MP for Nhyiaso Constituency, Dr. Richard Anane will not return to Parliament in 2017 after losing in the primary. He lost to former Ashanti Regional Organiser, Kennedy Kankam. Dr. Anane obtained 110 votes while Mr. Kankam had 247. GBC
